Our 4.5-hectare permaculture farm, alongside a suite of social initiatives, demonstrates our deep commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

Position Overview

We are seeking a values-aligned and highly motivated Director of Sales to join our leadership team. This role is for an experienced real estate professional who not only excels at driving sales but also shares our passion for the mission of Shift Esperanza. You will lead the sales team, develop and execute strategic sales initiatives, and guide potential buyers through the sales process, while ensuring that our community values are maintained and social goals achieved.

You will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining relationships with prospective buyers, investors, and community members. Your leadership will ensure a smooth and positive experience for all, while upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with Shift Esperanza’s vision, mission and goals.

  • Sales Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets. Ensure the team’s alignment with community values and the project’s long-term goals.

  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate relationships with prospective buyers and help them find a home that best serves them, ensuring they are informed, engaged, and supported throughout the sales process.

  • Sales Process Management: Oversee all aspects of the sales process, from lead generation to welcoming new community members, ensuring a seamless and transparent experience for buyers.

  • Community Building: Foster a sense of belonging among potential buyers by emphasizing Shift Esperanza’s community-driven model and social impact initiatives.

  • Market Strategy: Analyze market trends and customer preferences to ensure that our sales strategy remains innovative and relevant.

  • CRM and Data Management: Oversee the CRM database to ensure accurate and efficient communication of potential community members.

  • Collaborative Work: Collaborate closely with the development, marketing and operations teams to ensure alignment across all areas of the project.

  • Event Planning & Networking: Organize and lead property tours, presentations, and community events to engage potential community members.

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 4 years of real estate sales experience, (may consider other relevant sales experience for the right candidate).

  • Proven Track Record: Strong history of successfully closing high-value sales and meeting/exceeding sales targets.

  • Bilingual preferred.

  • Strategic Vision: Ability to think long-term while executing day-to-day sales activities.

  • Leadership & Team Building: Someone accountable with a proven ability to lead by example, mentor, and inspire a sales team to achieve collective and individual goals.

  • Integrity & Alignment with Mission: A high level of personal integrity and a deep commitment to the social mission of Shift Esperanza. We prefer someone who wants to live at Shift.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to connect with diverse individuals and foster positive, lasting relationships.

  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in CRM systems and sales tools. Comfortable using AI and other technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, with excellent time management and organizational abilities.

  • Local: Ideally looking for someone living full-time in Nosara.
