A BIT ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
One Man’s Search for Purpose in a Broken Western World
In the late 1990s, Matthew Blesso left a promising career in commercial banking for the uncertain world of real estate, setting off a wave of transformation across New York City's property landscape. With a knack for innovative development, he quickly earned a reputation, gathering international acclaim and numerous awards. Yet, success couldn't shield him from the industry's harsh realities—disillusionment set in, exposing a lack of integrity that clashed with his core values. This crisis of conscience led Matthew to a profound spiritual awakening, inspiring a dramatic shift in his life and work.
Determined to realign his professional life with his personal beliefs, Matthew made a bold decision to abandon a lucrative $230 million project in Brooklyn. Seeking a fresh start, he moved to Nosara, Costa Rica with his wife, Ginger. Here, amid the lush landscapes and the vibrant spirit of a 'Blue Zone', Matthew envisioned a new kind of village - one that would harmonize with nature and be home to a socially and environmentally conscious community. Matthew's journey reflects a heartfelt commitment to creating meaningful change, proving that even the most ambitious visions can take root in the simplest, most sincere efforts.
